Tauranga RDA Equestrian Therapy Centre provides therapeutic horse related activities for children and adults who are challenged by physical, mental and cognitive difficulties or who have social needs and who are at-risk within our community. These equestrian therapy programmes include horse riding, horsemanship and vocational skills opportunities.
Horse riding is an activity which stimulates and exercises both mentally and physically. It provides benefits for people challenged by disability as well as those who are at-risk or have mental or social issues. Our programmes engage people to assist growth, confidence, independence and the development of self-esteem. Tauranga RDA has expanded rapidly in the past seven years and provides a service to more than 115 people each week.
